Y▲CHT - tripped and fell in love
One my biggest regrets musically this year was waiting so long to check out the new YACHT effort Shangr-La (Lalalala Lalalala). It is chock-full of dance, talk-rock anthems. Claire’s sci-fi, spiritual lyrics also really shine on this record more than on the duo’s previous See Mystery Lights. I got to see them back in August, and they were really cool afterward, actually having the longest conversation I’ve ever had with a band post-show. We talked of pod-people and water parks.
